Jayalaxmi Transport Co. was established in the year 1960 with Vijayapura (then Bijapur), Karnataka as its Head Quarters, by our visionary founder Mr. Siddappa Uppin looking at the requirement boom of full load services.

In the following years, it expanded to other nearby major cities such as Belgaum, Hubli, Hyderabad and Mumbai, and also started Less than Truck load services or popularly known as Parcel Service.

In the year 1992, Mr. Ashok Uppin took over the business because of untimely death of his father Mr. Siddappa Uppin. Due to some challenges, he had to close down the offices in Hubli and Mumbai, but he eventually opened a new branch in Bangalore in 1997.

Being at helm for almost 30 years, he has taken forward our Founder’s vision to push boundaries, to challenge status quos and to maintain long lasting relationship with our customers. Mr. Ashok Uppin has devised a thriving system so that the company follows these at all times.

Today, the company owns close to 100 trucks of different capacities serving more regions and customers than ever before, thanks to the dynamic leadership of Mr. Ashok Uppin for showing us the path and leading us all through the ups and downs of economies.
